In a nutshell, i5 2500k (11k) + Asus P8P67 Pro (12k) + 2x4GB RAM (5k) + Sapphire/HIS 6950 1GB (16k) + Corsair HX650/Seasonic X650 (6.5k) + NZXT Tempest Evo (5.7k).

That totals up to 57k roughly. Chuck the 6970 since the 6950 2GB can be unlocked to a 6970 itself (you will need to get the AMD reference edition though). Get the input devices as you'd prefer and maybe a heatsink. Overclocking using the unlocked K series SNB chips are piss easy. Get a cheap heatsink like the Coolermaster Hyper 212+ and you are set. If you need something better, a Noctua NH-U12P SE should do it.

Oh and sell your old hardware in the forums and you could make somewhere close to ~7k IINM. :P

CPU :- i5 2500 --> 10k

Mobo :- Asus P8H67 M PRO --> 8.5k

GPU :- Take a risk with Sapphire 6950 2GB and unlock to 6970 @16k or just take 6970 Sapphire --> 21k (i am using 6970 price for this config)

RAM :- GSkill Sandy Bridge 4GBx2 1600MHz 9-9-9-24-2N --> 5.5k

PSU :- Corsair 550VX --> 4.8k

Cabinet :- NZXT Guardian 921 --> 3.7K ( you can change this as per your liking )

HDD :- Seagate 1TB --> 2.6k

Cooler :- CM Hyper 212+ --> 1.8k

DVD :- normal any --> 1k

total --> 58.9k

Total solution

my suggestion is to wait for bulldozer processors :D

is there a need to buy a new cabby n PSU?? coz i have the Viper XG2 cabby.. n is CM600 that bad??

hahah.. u still remember it.. :rofl:
And why wouldn't I! This is one of the classic instances wherein a low-end cheap power supply managed to bust a good GPU. :P

Seriously, get rid of it and get yourself something better in the likes of Corsair and Seasonic.

Congrats on the move towards PC. Hope you have MAX build in you mind.

Decide your config. Will help you out sourcing it locally.

Me too got a Q6600/4gb ram/8800gt/512mb setup :)

But I am waiting for Bulldozer vs. SandyBridge to get into the mainstream, maybe by Diwali time I will upgrade.

THEN I SHALL PLAY CRYSHIT and id's RAGE at FULL HD resolution mwwwahhahahahaha!
