Wanted Intercomm system

I am sorry if I have posted this in the wrong forum. Mods please move it if required.
Our housing society is looking for a intercomm system to be installed to provide communication between flat owners as well as between individual homes and the security gate. In other words, a pretty standard requirement.
Would appreciate if I can get all kinds of related information on this subject including:
1. Names of vendors with contact info and last know pricing.
2. Quality of service experience.
3. Maintenance costs.
anything else of relevance.

There are 37 flats in the building.
We are also considering the new MTNL scheme but this may not work out because it requires all members to have a MTNL connection and it entails a monthly rent.

Matrix is one of the leading brand of Intercom system builders in India.

They build solid machines. I am using one for my clinic for last 7 years without any hiccups.

Now a days they are turning towards corporate clients so they have discontinued their EPAX system (the intercom system which communicates within sub nodes but not to an external PSTN phone line as compared to EPABX which is an intercom system to distribute a phone line to multiple extensions).

Other companies are Singtel, NEC, Panasonic, Samsung.

One of my friend is a dealer of Matrix, here in Surat.

Matrix and singtel are the most cost effective brands, rest are too costly.

Maintainance : In general AMC are based on number of extensions and range from 85-175 INR per extension per year.

Can you can try out corporate plans from airtel? They are not listed on website or anything but you can get them through their sales representatives.

We have a plan for 20 phone lines, with intercom, with minimum billing of 110 per month per phone line , with 100% talktime.

They provide you with all the equipments and all.

Or am i missing something out here in this thread? :huh:

@Emil : where are you from, can get you installation info and recommendations.

Actually MTNL already has something similar but it may not be workable because it necessitates all members to have a MTNL line. With Airtel it would be worse because their penetration in our building will be a small fraction of what MTNL already has.
