Anyways it will be a personal blog, I think hostgator.com/shared.shtml will do right ? I dont see any need for taking dedicated hosting from host gator.

Dedicated server will cost an arm and a leg for a personal blog :P

Most of them are not limited to any plans but to your overall cost. Do remember, you will get the discount once only, no matter what plan you go for.
E.g., For 2 years if it takes $120 (- $20) rebate, after 2 years you need to pay the showcased price thereafter.

Please PM me if you get anyone good. I am in touch with few people but got really high quote just to set up a site on custom domain over blogspot.
