Hello Friends,

Just come to know that from today onwards Vodafone, give you requested talk time after 4 days (96 hrs), but deducting amount from your bank in advance, if you use to recharge online via vodafone site :( :@

Till today it merely takes 20 minutes & assuming same speed I use there online recharge option today also & now my money is with vodafone & they want me to wait for 96 hrs... & I'm near to ZERO balance :@

So vodafone set to legally use customers money for 4 days without paying any interest.... isn't it great idea for Interest FREE INSTANT LOAN :)

For e.g. if 1,000 customers of vodafone all over India, recharge online for Rs.100/-(approx) (1,000x100=1,00,000),

Isn't it day time robbery, suddenly change the rule, don't inform same to any one, even not to customers who use online charging option frequently :@

When they launched any new scheme, use to call several time for same & same, but no one care, if there is problem for customers... at least genuine customers. :@

Take a pin!!

Suee them :)

How much time does it take for you to go out and get a manual charge done.....

Stop worrying about small things.... yaar!!

There are a lot more things to worry about....

Dude...why dont you use 'ngpay'...its the best...you can recharge anytime anywhere**

**on phones with GPRS

in the morning only i did the recharge of 100rs with citibank credit card ..
i got the balance in next 2 mins ...

i have a better system..

befriend a local mobile shop wala..

tell him you address..get his number and ask him if he can recharge you on credit when you can't get it done personally..kinda emergency recharge when you call and ask for it..

works for me :)

@Emperor Are you talking about CC payment or netbanking?

I do it via Netbanking, I don't think it is possible to do what you say with Netbanking.

I guess for some reason if the transaction fails, your money is refunded to you with in 3 days, is that what you are talking about here?

coz ive been using vodafone online recharge for a while and no problems so far

Use rechargeitnow.com or mobikwik.com (they've sms recharge too), both support all major operators and recharge is done instantly.

Friends I too frequently use online recharge via netbanking from vodafone.in site, i.e. first I land on vodafone.in site, selecting my city & than amount & than type of payment & than it take me to my selected bank & mode of payment.

I my self never, till 24-3-2010, face any problem, but yesterday I didn't get balance after 4 hrs of payment & I inquire about same with CC & got above reply twice "That vodafone made some policy changes & from now onwards for internet recharge you has to wait for 4 days (96 hrs) after making internet payment?"

And on 25-3-2010 I had received an instant mail from Vodafone that my transaction completed successfully. :S but no SMS about talk-time update.:@

there might be temporary problem you are facing right now ...
if transaction wont be successful then vodafone will transfer that amount back to your account. This problem generally comes when you use your net banking. If you use CC you wont face a problem provided that you have CC Internet pin :P

I can vouch for Mobikwik.com .. Its fast and easy.

I can recharge my account through my phone itself as well as online.

Although what you said about Vodafone keep ur moneeyz for 96hrs.. well dats total BS ..

Thats completely unethical if not illegal.

P.S. Can you recheck the website where you noticed this 'policy' .. Maybe they mean a maximum of 4 Days. ?

The Customer Care Person (CC) told me same, & there is no use to argue with CC as they have few ready-made answers & just like machine keep repeating same.

Why max. 4 days? when till I encounter the problem, most of time, with in 10-15 minutes every time I got my requested talk-time.

It seems that all third-party recharge portals can get the job done in 2-3 mins tops.

Its taking Vodafone 4 days for some very fuskced up reason.

I also regularly recharge my Vodaphone online using Netbanking.

Within a minute of the transaction completion, I get the recharge confirmation.

Never failed me once also in the last 1 year or so since i started recharging online

I had occasions when the transaction would not go through due to some connectivity issue, but once the transaction went through & my bank account debited then no problems have occurred

I think the CC person was talking about the refund if the recharge was not successul. Also sometimes eventhough the transaction is shown as successful, the actual recharge is not done. In these cases they either manually process it or refund the money in 2-3 days time.

Anyway I prefer ngpay, recharge done in a matter of few seconds that too directly from the mobile.
