Laptops Warranty Extenssion Packs For HP Laptops??

Hi guys!!!has anyone got a warranty extended to 3yrs using a Hp Care pack for a Hp or Compaq Laptop purchased in india???or does anyone know anything bout it????coz i bought a Compaq Presario V3228AU Lap bout 6 months back, am worried tht the lap may go bust after the warranty period!!!!:no: :hap5: , so want to be on a safer side and invest in it!!!so anyguys have info plz post!!!!:D

p.s-reason for the post a frens HP Dv 2000 (price 70K) series LCD went bust after the warranty period, hes was quated 20K for the screen!!!!!!:@ :@ (later he found out it was just a cable loose connection-he fixed it himself using some Youtube video!!!!!:rofl: ), another frens Sony Viao (85K)went bust, the sony guys said tht the Motherboard was toast and it wud cost 35K:S :S , but luckily he had already brought a Sony warranty extension Kit for 5K, so his ass was saved!!!!
i dont want to go thrugh the heartache of saying Gudbye to my 38K after just 1yr!!!thts why!!!guys plz help!!!:ashamed:
 
you get 2years warranty for paying a premium as hp normally charges rs7000-8000 for care pack, you will get it at any hp outlet or call the call center hp india people they will help you out as the service is gr8,
personally i feel taking a care pack depends on the cost of the laptop, like mine i have a hp laptop which i bought a year ago in 5months the lcd gave way and the hp guys changed it as it was in warranty,
now for my laptop i pay 7k i dont find it worth it as a new one with better config after selling my laptop will cost same only, eg rs 7000 for extended care pack + old laptop value 18000 will buy me a new lappy .

thanx for the reply kunal, informative too, but i dont intend to change my lap that soon, a three years cycle was wht i was looking at-and by going thru peoples experience i think these things don't last that long!!!:( thts why i wanted to extend the warranty...the lap wud be useless and no one wud buy it if it was to face lcd or mobo problems...wht do u say?????:huh:
 
hey if ur planning to use it for that long time its better u take care pack as far as i know last time i got carepack for 6k its 5 months ago so its will cost 6k only but it wont be having battery replacement just hardware Hp now a days is most crap product as far as the stuff they are using but still no.1 in sales lol no idea how anyways u better take care pack else it will be hard to run hp for long time lolz hope u understand

well thanx for the info delguy!!! guess i will take the care pack!!!!:ashamed: cant risk it!!!ya the quality of Hp is not rock solid, even IBMs disapperared!!:@ :no:
