Last night, a friend of mine was sitting at my place waiting for me to come back from my office....Around 8, i get a call saing that the PC refuses to start ...It was shutdown like 10 mins bck and refused to start after that at all...No HDD glow, no fans coming on...absolutely nothing......
Also, the Mouse and KB lights were on (Always on in my mobo even at shutdown..) meaning it wasn't as simple as a loose power cord.....
I was aghast...On the way backhome, I kept thinking about what could be wrong.....Was it a a blown Mobo or a blown CPU....Kept hoping that it isn't more than a blown PSU (though if it had been that, how'd the KB/Mouse lights stay on)
Reached back home, opened the box with a heavy heart.... dreading that tell-tale smell of fried electronic parts
WTF...no signs of any blown parts....so I unplug all the connectors, reseat them...tried to start it again...no go
So next I unplug all the peripherals, and try starting the PC with just the basic stuff in...cpu and 1 stik RAM...Still no signs of life
Was About to close the cabinet, dreading a wasted weekend spent carrying the case, component et-al to Ritchie street...and then, I get a brainwave.....

I unplugged the front panel connector, and shorted the power sw pins.......The machin epurrs back to life   :hap2: :bleh: hyeah: :bleh:
Was some relief for sure....
Anyway, currently my PC has two wires dangling outside which I need to short everytime I need to start it......
