Now you can watch popular bollywood movies for free online legally on youtube.:hap2:

YouTube has tied up with leading indian movie production houses like Rajshri, Shemaroo & Ultra to broadcast many popular hindi movies for free online on YouTube.

Currently you can watch many movies like Hera Pheri, Maine Pyar Kiya, Andaz Apna Apna, Manorama Six Feet Under & many more.

I also read somewhere that the movie 'Striker' is going to be released on youtube in parallel with theatrical release. It will be available for rent in US and free for rest of the world.

But for the traffic originating from India, the movie wont be available.

i don't want to wait forever to see the movie. at the speeds we get here, i would have to keep a browser window open for a month or two just to watch a movie buffer fully before i get to watch it.
 
^^ I suppose if the connection is consistent then with 1 Mbps and plus connection after buffering for like 10-15 minutes we should be able to see the movie so that it buffers more while we watch it.
 
Also if streaming is not your cup of tea then one can download the movie (from youtube) using the various options available. I suppose that should not be illegal :ashamed:

I will try downloading one and see the size.

Edit: Andaz Apna Apna is like 523 MB in MP4 format.

As soon as i go to the MOVIES channel on youtube most pictures on that page seem to be of tharki movies :P
 
You can watch many english and hindi (old) movies on you tube and they can be legally downloaded but the fact is that there are not enough good quality movies on youtube till date and if you are looking for good movies, then go to Free Bollywood Videos: Watch Your Favorite Indian Movies & TV Shows Online and see them there as many good movies are given on their site and best of it is that it is free and legal.

But i don't know how to download them as they can be simply done in youtube.

^^ Downloading from Rajshri and Bigflix does not work. Infact if you have seen movies on Bigflix there are ads in between movies, infact even between serials.

I just tried watching Dhamaal on youtube and its quality was really good.

Yeah i too saw in some news that IPL will be availablle on youtube. Boon for people overseas and not receiving IPL telecast in those countries.
