OC & Modding Water Cooling my CPU

I've placed an order for a Corsair Water Cooling kit.

Read up tonnes of good stuff about it on various review sites.. anyone have any opinion about it ?

If i were you, i would go for a decent Air cooling HSF.

XP120 is good enough.

Water cooling is good but clumsy too i guess.

You can install custom Heatsinks on your GPU and chipset too.

Chipset coolers from Swiftech are really good.

And for GOU, you can go for a Heatpipe based cooling solution.

Just my opinion.

If you want some exotic cooling then i would go for Vapochill or Prommy.

I dont intend to buy one but for knowledge.

Most water/phase change coolers can be mounted with a chipset and gpu block as well. However conventional aircooling is good enuf for chipsets unless u really wanna run it at insane HTT/FSB.

corsair wasnt good at watercooling...their hydrocool drew lotsa flak....

hell with these expensive rads.
So what i did. Buy yourself a used or new maruti 800 radiator. Fit 4x92mm or 4x120mm fans on it. beats the hell out of black ice extreme. Its all copper coated with tin.
Costs less than 1.5K.
I have one of these, i used to cool my 9800XT using this rad. Was one of the highest clocked 9800XTs at that time, the best over at guru3d.com and 3rd best at hardocp back then. Was used with Maze4GPU(still have it), cold plate + 120watt TEC.
