water leakage in indoor unit of bluestar split ac, only temporary solution is done by the engineers and the problem resurfaces again. Is this a common problem in bluestar ac ?

Improper installation & blocked overflow pipe is the primary causes of leakage in Split AC's.

Check the drainage pipe & see that there are no sharp bends. If its clogged then get it cleaned. Also its better to have minute tilt of indoor unit while installation towards the drainage output opening, so that any condensation gets out easily due to gravity. Even if there is large overflows the chances of water draining from all over is less & it usually comes out from one side only...

Proper maintenance & cleaning makes sure that the condensed water is only getting collected in the reservoir.. the problem of leakage is not specific to Blue Star only..

I think the major cause as told by hailstone would be lack of tilt n blockage. Get the tilt checked first and then get the pipe changed.

just check the pipe should always move in a downward direction. Any upward curve or sharp bend will cause leakage inside the room.

i had this same issue but mine is a kenstar. i called kenstar and they charged 300bucks for servicing and wrapped a duck-tape to a pipe and the leak is solved.

this issue is common to all spilt ac units. it is caused as described above by few issues such as blocked/ incorrectly mounted outlet pipe, or break at the pipe joint.
