Water Meter Reading

Does any one know how to read a water meter like the one in the attachment?
Its a commercial Water line.
Besides the Reading in Kilo Litres what is X1L and X0.1L

Can you help me out on how to read it and with the rate of water per kilo litre?

Total amount of water consumed is XXXXX.PQRS kilo liters where XXXXX appear as five black digits, P and Q appear as two red digits after the five black digits in that order, R appears in analog dial with X1L marking and S appears in analog dial with X0.1L marking.

you need to ignore the red digits to arrive at your kilo-litre consumption.

Can anyone give me the calculation for the above reading ?

1. 342 kilo litres + 82 litres + 5 litres + 0.2 litres = 342,825.2 litres

2. 532 kilo litres + 280 litres + 8 litres + 0.8 litres = 532,288.8 litres

mine does not have those red digits so instead of 2 red dials it has 4.

I am from Mumbai and I have never seen a water meter. Is it only for commercial establishments ?
