Willing to sell off my WD 1TB black drive as not in use.
Received a brand new drive after RMA last week. Drive tested and working fine.
Asking Price : 3.5k+shipping @actuals
Warranty till : 24th Dec 2013.

Interested ppl , plse PM me. Local buyers preferred.

Note: All Internal drives from WD carries 3 yrs warranty including BLACK..

You have forgotten to add VAT of 4-5% to the price.

As far as I know Lynx prices shown in the link are exclusive of VAT

So the total cost of the new drive comes to nearly 5k incl shipping
 
Guys, all newly manufactured Black drives also carries 3 years warranty...
A new Black drive costs 5k with 3 yrs warranty..So prices are fair enough IMO...:)

You are wrong here

The warranty on Black Drives has not been reduced by WD. It is reduced to 3 years for Green & Blue. Black is still 5 years.

You can check Black drives on sale at Lynx & Ebay..They all show 5 years warranty.
 
no..all WD internal drives comes with 3 yrs warranty...
Confirmed with WD too regarding the warranty..They says newly manufactured drives will carry 3 yrs warranty:)

Lol.....They wouldnt have updated the site..WD site too shows 5 yrs but they told me in person dat it carries 3 yrs of warranty:)
 
Is this your model SATA 6 Gb/s or SATA 3 Gb/s one.
Sorry ur model No is WD1001 ie SATA 3 Gb/s, I was looking for WD1002 model.

There is practically no benefit of the sata 3 interface since the revolution speed is the bottleneck. I dont see any sense paying extra for a 6Gbps drive with 7.2K RPM spin.

Sudan agrees that the online sites show 5 years but he says that when he spoke in person to WD, they are saying that it has been reduced to 3 years from 5 years but this change has still not been updated at the various online sites
