Storage Solutions WD 1TB EADS > 3 years " WARRANTY " Only

Just because its a Deal related Discussion and may affect many of us thats y posting it here.......

Today i talked to WD care 7-8 Times and got the same Information again n again that all the WD 1tb EADS carried the same 3 year warranty like almost anywhere unlike every1 mentioned it as a 5 year warranty.

so just to let u know those who thought it has the usual 5 year warranty and go ahead and buying it from ebay or any other dealer just Check it twice n make ur mind accordingly.

there is a line at the bottom of one of the table saying, " ENTERPRISE, DESKTOP, AND NOTEBOOK DRIVES IN INDIA HAVE A 5YEAR WARRANTY ". So i guess all hdds we normally see (other than external ones) have 5 yrs warranty.

What say?

I registered two of my WD 1 TB drives about 2 months back.. Both have more than 4yrs warranty...

yea thats true but see thats only for the highest class of the drives like FALS series for the desktop ............its all according to the WD policy. i tried maa best just to let them know if theres some sort of truth but i got -ve about all this now from here there can be two possibilities either WD is a lil buggy or all our dealers or distributors or both trying to encash all this by misrepresentation of the support etc.

still unopened.

this one carrys 5yrs warranty.
