To cut a long story short 2 weeks back my motherboard's(Gigabyte H55M-S2H) LAN port stopped working, so I gave it to PrimeABGB to get it resolved. Last Friday I got my motherboard back & I re-installed Windows 7. But then I started facing a lot problem. My system became very unstable, it kept on crashing(freezed) every few minutes or if I was lucky it would run for 10-15 minutes. I tried everything re-installed Windows 7 thrice, took all latest drivers & even updated my motherboards BIOS. But nothing seemed to solve the issue. Frustrated I thought I will look into the matter after my exams get over(the starting on 15th Nov:( )plus i had my old P4 pc with me. But today I had a little free time thought I will just use my old Samsung 80 GB HDD in place of 1TB WD Green and see if the problem gets resolved. Apparently my guess was right , my system didn't crash at all & was running very smoothly. Shocked I again attached my 1 TB HDD & re-installed Windows 7. But alas I again faced the same problem.

So I wanted to re-confirm with you people that is it my 1 TB HDD's fault that my system is crashing. I manged to copy most of my data from, so its making me confused:huh:.

TIA :)

Come on guys 70 views and no opinions on my problem :ashamed:

Yep thats what I am planning to do. But just reading through all horrific stories about WD's RMA is making me skeptic! Hopefully I will get my HDD back soon. Thanks for your reply :)

Nope. Right now don't have much time to play around much & can't keep the 80GB just for my OS it has to go back in my P4 system; which is my office PC:). May be after my exams I will try the 1 TB HDD in my P4 system then lets see. Thanks for your reply :)
