  • Description if any: This HDD was pulled from a Laptop which failed. I had run a check for bad sectors and it is fine. I will give the Sony Vaio broken laptop free to whoever buys this HDD. The laptop has a motherboard problem that prevents the battery from getting charged. I was unable to get it repaired because they only insist on replacing the Mobo at the cost of a similar working laptop.

Is the laptop functioning as in does it runs fine with charger connected?
Does it boot into windows?
 
It does not power on with the charger connected too. I have been told that the battery charging circuit on the Mobo has failed. Never tried to bypass it. The last time the laptop was working, the battery charging stopped functioning and the laptop continued running till the battery had juice.
Please assume it is not working for the purpose of your decision. If it works, it is a bonus for you.
