Storage Solutions wd 3yrs or 5yrs warranty?

I was checking online precisely this site
WD Support > Warranty Services > End User > Warranty Policy and Limitations
it states that all desktop drives have 5 year warranty(last line in asia section...see properly but wherever i try to buy they say only 3 years!!
im trying to buy this
WD Caviar Blue Hard Drives ( WD5000AAKS )
guys need help urgently.
bcause if its 3 then i would rather go with seagate(obviously)!!!:bleh:

AFAIK WD has 5 year warranty for desktop drives.
My 500AAKS has 5 year warranty - confirmed online - but it was bought about a year back. Not sure if warranty terms were changed recently.

warranty for all desktop drives is 3yrs now the exception is the WD black series which is 5 yrs but its overpriced as well so doesent make sense

^^ that's sad. First seagate and now WD also reducing warranty to 3 yrs

Luckily all of my HDDs have 5 yrs warranty.
