Storage Solutions WD BLUE shows 5yrs warranty - but how?

I bought 3 WD blue drives from delta last year....he told me the drives come with only 3 yrs warranty....i checked 2 of my drives on WD site today and it says warranty is till 2015.

Its good for you that you got 5yrs instead of 3yrs :)

anyways i think you bought it last year - till last year WD hdd had 5yrs warranty but if you buy now it will have only 3yrs warranty

So its confirmed i have a 5 yrs warranty :ohyeah: then why did delta guys say only 3rys? anyway one of the WD drive is not getting detected in bios....it disappeared completely one day taking all the data with it :(....i saw in the WD thread they now ship drives in advance is this true ? how to apply for advance replacement ?

Yes your HDD comes with 5 years warranty and your dealer said 3 years because the thought so :P
About your second query, just RMA your drive.

^^You mean if i just register a RMA request they will send a drive in advance?

^ no idea about that, my suggestion, get a RMA ticket, wait for your HDD to be picked up, they will send a new one
