Storage Solutions Wd my passport 1 tb help needed

I have recently purchased 1 tb WD my passport...
I am having this strange problem from past few days...
when I plug it on my , in property it show that I have 500 gb data and 431 gb free space but when I open it it does not show anything in it...it show blank but in property it show half HD full and its really half full with TV serials...
I have tried to search through Google but no help...
Help guys please..

Do you see the drive letters atleast?

1)Check if there are any hidden files and folders. You may have hidden them accidentally.
2)Run a scandisk on the drive and see if there are any errors.
