Thinking of buying this for a friend who needs a USB-powered external hdd to keep music, movies and photos.
My Passport Essential 250 GB USB 2.0 Hard Drives ( WDMEW2500 )

Is it well recommended? And what is the price (Nehru Place) for the 250GB and the 320GB?

i have a 250gb essential and a 320gb elite. i dont think theres much of a price diff between elite and essential. see if u can get the elite. i picked my 320gb elite for rs. 4300 sometime back.

i got 320GB WD Passport for 3700 from ebay,

nice drive I must say.

But the surface can get scratched pretty easily, glossy

yes, the essential ones are glossy and get scratched easily. the elite ones however have a soft touch finish.

Ok will look at the elite ones. Off-hand does anyone know the price for 250GB or 320GB? Also, are they available in all the colours advertised on the website?
