Hi,
I have a WD mybook essential 2.0 Edition 500 GB drive (WDH1U5000S). On attaching it to the PC, it recognizes the drive as USB Mass storage device and "WD", but no partitions etc are visible.
There are no abnormal mechanical noise coming.
It is a 6 mnth old drive, which was last used around 2 mnths back.
Is there anything that can be done to recover the data before sending for RMA ?
