Storage Solutions WD Reporting Incorrect Size

From past few days i was receiving errors in a drive monitoring utility which state
Current Pending Sectors = 36
Offline Uncorrectable = 4

Suddenly today it grew to 39 so i decided to backup my data and format the partition but that didn't solve the issue so i tried deleting the partition from the disc management console only one partition was deleted but the management console is now showing drive size as 2679.72GB where as it is 500 GB Will it result to a dead drive please reply should I initiate the rma process for this drive

Seems like the HDD is in danger.
Get WD Lifeguard Tool (the bootable ones), next just boot from that image, select your drive and delete all its partition from there and also update its MBR.

That might work, else you can always RMA :)
