Video WD TV HD - FW update this week, confirmed

10 min forward after pressing Next while in forward mode is a great add in. Now no more wasted time in going to a specific portion of the film. Subtitle font size selection is also a welcome addition.

Depends on what is important to you. Do you need network shares, a BT client and DTS passthrough? If yes, get the Popcorn Hour. Also, it works with the HD audio formats, which the WD doesn't handle.

I needed a simple player for the parents' bedroom, so I got this. HTPC works fine for the rest.

Am getting this. Just a few queries before I buy.

1. Does this support sub/idx subtitle format.
2. Does this play divx.

I still dont understand, one should rather buy 20K asus eeepc.

Thats what I've done actually, and play movies through it on my 52 inch lcd and external sound card.

It supports SRT,SMI, SUB, ASS, SSA subtitles.
Yes It plays divx and xvid as well as many other formats.
