So, just bought a Seagate 2TB HDD and after connecting it to my system, my old WD 1TB 10EACS HDD went blank along with the new HDD and is now asking to be reinitialized which i am afraid will lead to data loss.

So, is it possible that if i reinitialize the HDD, i can resume usage of the 1TB data contained in it?Or is there some software that can help me get the disk MBR back?

use r studio ntfs and recover ur data FIRST. then reinit it after u have ur data back. expect to get 99% approx back.

I don't understand your problem perhaps, anyway if you lost partitions almost sure way of getting them back is testdisk. you could either use it from windows or download some linux bootable iso(like ubuntu) and install testdisk. I have always been able to get back my partitions with testdisk.
