Supra, do you have any update on the drive's access times?

I've received a response from WD support and they say a variance of 3ms is within spec, owing to different factors. I have asked them about AAM, let's see their reply to that.

Used Hitachi Feature Tool, works very nicely with WD :D. WD themselves do not provide any tool to disable/change AAM mode.

Although, setting AAM tp 254 does increase the seek noise but it's still quiter than my earlier WD2500KS.

I must say the ppl who got the 7200.11 at 4150+shipping are pwned :D

And ya I do have the 7200.11 500GB as well :p
