Linux WebDav protocol

Anybody have working knowledge about webDav protocol. ?

And whether its preffered over smb protocol ?

{ also if webdav is possible in a samba server ?
tried only on apache server }

All comments welcome . :)

essentially trying to access file shares and print resource between win and linux.
 
^ Like your location says, you are truly lost on this one. Don't bother about webdav for time being, get started off with samba. Thats good enough for your purpose.
