hey peeps....can u guys name some really good ones from Pune/Mumbai??? i'll b going from mumbai while my friends join from pune. leave out lonavala n mahabaleshwar. there should be decent places to stay too.

Alibaug, Matheran. Jaljeera fort, Ganapati Phule Beach...u can spend the night at ganapati phule...lots of lodges to stay in..
 
you could also try murud, kashid dapoli....

if you have a 4 day weekend, go to tatkarli, very nice beach, reasonably unspoiled.... its actually near goa, but is a good place to visit nonetheless
