Weird problem with MTNL Triband

For the past couple of weeks, I have been observing that my MTNL connection had been disconnecting after exactly 11:00 PM. :S

Here's what happens. It never disconnects during day or even till 9:00PM. Since past 2 weeks, after 11:00 PM it just tends to terminate the connection saying "local area cable unplugged" & only the Power light stays ON, on the modem. The modem I use is the standard GLB-502T. From there I have to manually switch the modem OFF & ON to resume connection, but after like 5 minutes gap it again does the same thing. :@

What could be the reason behind this weird behaviour? The LAN card is fine as my Pacenet hub never faces any issue on it. Could it be the modem? If so then why would it work properly at other time?

For the past couple of weeks, I have been observing that my MTNL connection had been disconnecting every saturday and sunday !!! :S

Then after repeated calling (and the mandatory "problem is at the customer end, are the modem lights on, is everything configured") they replaced my broadband modem.

One of them even thretened to cut the call if I said something from my side and not listened to him. Rude and unprofessional.

Yeah well those CC asswipes aren't of much use anyway. My disconnections now have become pretty random. I'm suspecting may be my modem would be the issue. Need to sort this out before getting the 849NU plan back again. Any idea what could be the possible cause of these disconnections?

NOTE: Only the "POWER" light stays ON & the rest go OFF. This includes the LAN icon as well. It doesn't reset it self post that.
