Well, its been 2 days now and i keep getting these strange miss calls from various numbers that are actually located in Belarus
Starts with a +375 area code

Luckily,my phone tells me the initial origin point according to the number flashing and it indicates Belarus
So who the **** is calling me from Eastern Europe at 3:00am in the morning everyday :annoyed:

I have read that such callers are frauds and try to scam people
Bloody frauds, how do they even get my number ?? Are telecom operators in India so dumb that they can't even protect their customer's from such things ??

Yes it is most probably a scam.
Telecom operators are aware of it but are unable to stop it since the calls originate from various numbers. In any case, they are not going to stop incoming calls to their customers as they might inadvertently block actual/useful calls too.
They did not get your number to harass you specifically, they call random numbers and many of the calls go through to actual users.
They benefit if you call back on such a missed call, which many people do without checking the number and are charged premium international call charges.
What you can do is ignore such calls, the same way you ignore all the nigerian prince spam mails.

If you expect the caller to be blocked, report it to your network operator.

I really don't care about such calls as most of the time i don't pick up calls from numbers that i don't recognize
But this is crazy, gonna check this out with Vodafone today

I've actually gotten a lot of weird calls with international - looking numbers that turned out to be telemarketers (for credit cards etc.) based in Gurgaon.

Do you realise there is already another thread about this already? In the first page.
