I had bought a 1 TB Seagate which failed within a month so I had to buy a 1 TB first so that I could backup the data first and then send the same for replacement.

As I wanted to try something new I went ahead and bought this WD 1TB Black Sata 3

Motherboard was Gigabyte GA890FXA-UD7

If you need some more info or some new tests let me know. As this is my first review so please excuse my errors :). When I get the Seagate 1TB replacement I will test that one also and posts the screenshots. I have the scans for my current Seagate 1TB but it has some disk errors so don't know whether its showing the right results or not.

Here are the tests which I did with HD Tune. I will be adding more benchmarks soon.

My SATA 2 Does better than that. Poor WD. (Seagate 1TB 7200.12).

Above all, this review will set a benchmark for comparison for the upcoming drives.

Thank you for this benchmark.

I have a 500GB Seagate version 7200.11 which has warranty up to 2013, but it failed with all my DATA. Since I have not dropped it, it seems to be electronic failure in the circuit board. Now I want to get back my data before I send the HDD for RMA. I have done it many times in other versions. None of my friends around here has this version at present:( Therefore I want to buy a similar type of HDD used or new, so that I can retrieve my data by using the circuit board. Hope someone will be able to help me out.
