Hey guys, I have a brand new 750gig external drive Wd my passport SE. Now last night i was to format it to fat32 as to play stuff on my PS3 through GUI FORMAT. After going to 100% it gave me an error and the drive was not formatted and it is in the Raw state. I tried the cmd format but it just wont start it gets stuck on 0% , even the windows format says after sometime the drive cannot be formatted.Now i guess many of the people might have got this issue here. So please help me on how to format it again. It was brand new no bad sectors. And ya i tried through disk management as well but that also says cannot be formatted. The drive shows healthy in disk management. I really do not wanna give it to RMA for this reason. Please HELP!
 
You can reformat it from linux. Or try WD disk diagnostic tool to re-initialize the HDD, and reformat it

I again had to the rma thing. I tried with WD diagnostic. It fu**** a partition in my internal HDD. Had got a 750 instead of a 320
<
Will surely get less than that now. Mods please close the thread
