Apart from warns, you may also recive an alert. An alert is a mild form of warn. It does not have any warning points associated with it. But you will have a message in your postbit in red for 2 days once you have been alerted. The reason for the alert will be communicated via pm.

Like for me,

I got an alert coz' I was abt to start a flame war in the Ferrari vs others war before the European GP.

I wrote a very impassioned speech abt people who keep criticizing Ferrari. Both when they are at the top and when they are losing

^^ LOL, it was my post which irked u right? I posted when Ferrari qualified 7-10 at the ring :D

Remember there is a thin line btw criticizing and flamming. I always start a subtle flamming which at times may stir the hornets nest :D
 
Alerts are implemented for better moderation.

It helps the staff recognise the members who have already been alerted once.
This information is available to all the mods/gmods/site managers/Admins and Ring members...encouraging better cooperation amongst the staff.

Alerts are like a normal PM a mod or staff member would send you incase you violated some rule of the forum.

An Alert is not a warning, will not increase warn points, and is not a ban...over a section or any other normally accessible part of a forum for the member.

and the warning kinda stuff is when u go out ur boundries and
got it to freekill :P
