I am getting a complete P-II system, which i want to gift to some kids studying 4th Std. The Base system is a P-II 266 MHz with 32MB RAM & 2GB hard disk

Enclosing a CPU-Z report of that PC running Win98. What are the possibilities of upgrading this PC so that this can be used by Kids - for learning

Thanks inadvance

:) If possible the ram to around 128 and the hard disk to a 10 gb one...

You can load the basic open office suite....they will get a feel of the word excel etc stuff..

Later it depends on what they will learn? Will they program or something?

128 MB RAM for PII - approx 700.00 /-
20 GB (because 10 GB quite difficult to find) - approx 1000 /-

and your system is ready for office work, small old games etc.

it can be upgraded to any 100 mhz fsb piii proccy.

Also you can upgrade the ram to a useful 128 mb

Maybe if you can get hold of a riva tnt 2 or similar for cheap that ay help as well.

the kids can surf the net and also play some old games.
