What do you guys think of this?Seems pretty convenient.I dont know if the prices are good enough.I mean if I avail this service, would be lesser than the service that KMD provides?

There's a regular $8.50 charge for each delivery.I think KMDs delivery to India amounts to roughly $6(both cases shipping just to India and not local).Again prices both sides vary according to weight definitely.Also there's a monthly or yearly fee.I dont think this would be viable since I dont shop onlin from US every friggin month.
 
customs is the only issue in india. Shipto does not handle the customs part, so your goods will end up stinking in the customs dept :P
 
If you're really keen on using such a forwarding service, I'd recommend MyUSABox. They ship via DHL and I've hardly ever been charged any customs unless the item was really expensive.

However, it doesn't make sense to go in for such a service if you're not a frequent shopper.

I've used Shipito when studying abroad. I paid the monthly fee because I shopped frequently, but if you plan to just ship once or maybe twice, you can just sign up for their individual package plan. I used the shipping calculator and got some estimated costs for you depending on the speed of service you would like:

1 lb. - (approx) $5-$31
2 lbs. - (approx) $10-$35
5 lbs. - (approx) $26 - $48

thats awesome.. but I am sure prices will be too much for most products.It will work out only for products that are too dirt cheap.

It might workout as a GO for us if there's some big sale in the US for a particular product.

well, i have used their service and they are very costly. but since 2 years i am using viaddress which are much cheaper than shipto. and they fast too. items are shipped in 2-3 days with no issue and they are always in excellent conditions.really fast and reliable. i would highly recommend viaddress this is their link

for both shipito & viaddress i would highly recommend you do not rely on posts by people with just 1 post in this forum.
 
After spending a few hours comparing the shipping rates for all the package forwarding companies mentioned in this forum and other forums on the web, I found out that Viaddress.com at VIAddress : Your US address offers the lowest shipping rates according to the shipping calculators on all those sites.

While other companies charge you 5% to 15% commission fee. It also says on their website VIAddress : Your US address that they have the biggest Personal shopper service on Ebay.com in the US.

Well… All of these good points convinced me to try them… and I’m glad I did...

I have used them to shop from Ebay in the US and on other couple of US sites that didn't ship outside the US and I was able to save a lot on shipping by combining all my boxes in one large box for FREE! You can do this by using the package consolidation tool in your account area on Viaddress.com.
