Car & Bike What does exchange benefit mean?

With festive season around the corner, almost all major car manufacturers are offering special deals on some variants of their cars.

Some offer discounts, some offer limited editions, some offer free insurance while some offer exchange benefits.

I have always been flummoxed by this term. After seeing Datsun's offer of exchange benefit, the confusion again sprang up. What does this term mean? What actually is the offer here?

Is it over and above the exchange value of the old car? Or something else?

yes, it is over the exchange value of old car.. but only if you sell to them. for which they offer peanuts. If you do get a good deal you could go with them.

Thanks. So are these the cars that they usually sell as certified used cars? Buying at way below expected price, getting it fixed and then selling at exhorbitant prices.

They fix it, refurbish it, and provide a year's guarantee.
They do not sell it as such.
