What happen to BSNL taking control of MTNL Mumbai operations?

Hi. There was news that BSNL going to launch in Mumbai and will be taking control over MTNL operations. What happen to that? MTNL is dying and BSNL really need to fix things by taking control.

BSNL have better plans and offerings compared to MTNL. Even the online portal of BSNL is eon generations ahead.

Because MTNL and BSNL did not want to give up their cushy well paid jobs for doing nothing . With 2 seperate companies MTNL employees including GM enjoys equal perks as in BSNL
I only support closing them down or privatization to 49% so that government still holds the majority stake

It was in the news that govt has deferred the plan of bsnl taking over MTNL operations..
