What inverter to buy, confused ?

Hi:

Will be working with PC full day, and i need inverter that can handle my PC, a tubelight, and a fan - PC backup i need at least 4 hours.

Please advise what brand and which shop should i approach in Chennai. Not more than 10k.
 
The tech person from su-kam chennai told me one model thats Falcon 800VA/12kv that can backup my crt-monitor pc, fan and light for 4 hours, quoted a price of 17k.

Am i going in the right direction ??
 
Is there any rule one can follow, after working out the load requirement, to determine what size battery to go with ?
 
Here in Kolkata Su-kam Falcon-i 800VA costs 4.5 - 5k

And for your purpose you should go for a 200 amp Exide Invertor batt.
