Graphic Cards what is a refurbished card?

What does refurbished mean? I've a lot of refurbished cards at newegg, and they are considerably cheaper. So whats the deal?

They are cards that have been returned by some ppl cos of a fault. They are repaired by the manufacturer(if necessary) and sold again.
 
IN short do not buy it........
Many people received faulty cards when they bought refurb.
Its too big of a risk if you are planning to bring it to india.
 
Refurbished cards are a great option if you are planning to use it within US otherwise stay away from them.

Some times like on e-bay they actually tell why the item is refurbished then u can make a better choice on buying them.
 
Oh sucks..........I thought I would be able to squeeze in a 6800 into my budget...looks like i have no option but 6600gt.
 
Do not purchase an expensive refurbished graphic card.
and the same goes for cpu's and rams.

m/b 's , optical drives, heatsink/fans, cases / cabinets are all okay.
