Android What is Moto X's Google Now advantage over other phone's Google Now?

Can someone with Moto X or Moto X2 tell me the advantage of touchless control of Moto X over other phones? And does it perform better on Moto X or Moto X2? Asking because Moto X has 2 cores dedicated for voice controls
I only know one i.e, it is always ON to listen to you while you have to launch google now on other devices to perform any task.

It works with the screen off, in most cases it will just launch Google Voice search and pass on your command to it, see more here.
Just like Moto Display's advantages being reduced by Ambient Display, Moto Voice isn't as useful as it was last year.
 
So, is it a gimmick?
Actually I do like it on my Droid Ultra but then again, I have used android after 3 years. Anyways I do find it useful for me even though I haven't had this phone for long. But I will keep it knowing that it performs well even with a dual core proccy and me being a casual gamer with only playing racing games that aren't much demanding right now.
 
I disabled Moto Voice since I found it usable only while driving. In other scenarios if your phone is not in reach then it's also too far to hear you saying the launch phrase (unless you shout).
