hi i have bsnl broadband plan uld bbg combo 1000.
Almost every internet speed booster software i use such as speed connect, tune up booster, or any other speed booster it asks what connection type do i have.
It usually have options such as dsl, isdn, satellite, cable, dial up, others, etc . I dont input anything because obviously i dont know them plus if i input something wrong then i might end up in messed up settings which would mean low speed. Can someone please tell what my connection type is.

there's different settings for different options so how does that not make any difference

also if wouldnt make any difference why would they have so many options?

I do not think they matter in terms of realtime browsing.if you want better download speeds use a better download manager or else tweak your utorrent for better speeds.

Choose your connection type as DSL.

But it does not matter at all as those Speed Boosters wont be able to speed up anything at all. Your connection will give maximum speed no matter what.

e.g - It is just like trying to run a Maruti Alto/TATA Nano/TATA Indica at 250KM/hr. You just fix the speedometer to show speeds of 250KM/Hr when the actual speed is just greater than 100KM/hr.

The speed booster will show you much higher speed than the actual speed.

Speed boosters doesn't really make any difference in your speed. Your internet connection speed will always only be as fast as the slowest point which most probably is set by BSNL based on your tarrif plan. Even otherwise there's a maximum speed you can achieve on DSL, no matter what you use you can go faster than that. Some utilities speed up browsing by using a proxy server which reduces quality of images and send it you. But again this can only improve your browsing speed at the cost of quality and not any speed of your downloads. Hope it helps.
