vishalrao Global Moral Police Level J Nov 18, 2016 #2 What kind of code/programs will you be working on and what languages? Personally, if you want minimal OS maintenance hassle, I would stick to Win 10 and Ubuntu 16.04 "LTS" on that new rig you are looking to build

C cute.bandar Level F Nov 18, 2016 #4 I would strongly recommend sticking to windows. If you need a linux environment, use Virtualbox, cygwin, zsh etc. Linux for servers is great, but IMHO linux desktop is a 2nd class citizen in the unix world.
