What is the effective range of a DLink DSL 2750U modem router.

I just installed a DLink DSL 2750U modem router at a relative's place, wifi is unusable even just 25 feet away (with nothing between) with a mobile phone or IPad.

Is this 'normal' ? They could have opted for the MTNL wifi modem router instead.

I have the same model. I get signals at the other end of my house which is approx 2200 sq.ft in size. There are atleast 3 walls in between. I've used my PS3, mobile and Ipad at the same time.

^ did you have to change any settings ? or tweaks ?
i used the cd to set up a MTNL DSL connection. nothing more.

same hare very low range no wall and just 10 ft away only 3/5 bars at my laptop and 2/5 bars on my phone...
should i go for replace .. Or any software tweak ?
 
Works fine in my home. I have in one corner of my home and it crosses two walls with ease, the third wall is a difficult challenge but it somehow passes that too.
 
1 to 9 and auto .. none worked .. actually my area is not Wi-Fi crowded no any other n/w is available around my desk ... Guys please help
 
Same here. Though d router is good but the range is pretty limited. Its good in one of d rooms which is about 15ft frm router and weak in d other room abt 25ft. No signal to far end of d other room.
 
try swapping the antenna first, may be loose/ internally broken connector.

Seems like a revision of the earlier model. Nice to see this, as it was long overdue.

1) Any news about freedom of using any dongle with this model? I think the earlier one had a very limited set of dongles which could have been used. (iinm only D Link DWM-156)
2) Any other improvement over old firmware? (Basically want to compare this with TP Link w8968)
3) Would like to know about dBi gain via antenna swap possibility as well.
