I remember giving up on wireless controllers from redgear/cosmic byte/ant several years ago due to connection issues - they turned on and off every few minutes. This happened even if I plugged the dongles into USB 2.0 ports at the front or back. I tried using an xbox controller via BT back then and faced the same issues. I eventually stopped using them since they made games like Rocket League and others unplayable and have used wired controllers ever since then (even wireless ones via a USB cable). I later realised that USB 3.0 did interfere with 2.4 GHz wireless devices (https://www.usb.org/sites/default/files/327216.pdf) and that I wasn't insanely unlucky with all my purchases.
It has been 5-6 years now and I've changed pretty much all my PC parts from back then, including my case. Recently, I purchased a cosmic byte stellaris controller that I'm using with the wireless dongle, which I'm guessing is 2.4 GHz, and I haven't had any issues so far plugging it in the front USB 3.0 port. So I wonder if this problem still persists or has it been resolved with better shielding or some other advances? Do any of you guys still face issues with this?
