What is Warez?

Hello friendz, I am a newbie in this place. I marked that many sites including this one, dont allow posting links to warez sites. Even the firewalls at my college doesnt allow me to follow any link. So, i really dunno what r they and why they are restricted. Can u please explain it?:huh:
