I am getting a BSNL Dataone connection at home and have to choose from the modems which BSNL is giving away.... Eventually i will be setting up a Wifi connection at home...

Have two options... Either choose a BSNL Wifi modem(If i should then suggest me which one) or use my beetel 220BX and buy a Wifi router...

Which would be cheaper and better as i want a good wifi setup which has good strenth on the multiple floors(Read three) of my house... Suggest me something quickly as the person from BSNL is already stting here with the form and i have to make a quick decision...

TIA

a seperate modem + wifi router is BETTER , i have read many people developing problems with the medem + router combined

use your Beetel 220BX and a wifi router , itll also save you the monthly rent (which i think is pretty high on wifi routers)

Thanks a lot... And i took that decision only... Hopefully will pick up a Linksys router....

I use Beetel 220BX + Buffalo WHR-G54S & boy do they rock :ohyeah:

Buffalo WHR-G54S if flashed with the Tomato Firmware becomes even more powerful :D

another choice is Beetel 220BX + Linksys WRT54G (flashed with the Tomato Firmware) :)

If possible get a GLB 502 T (does get hot that much now... its luke warm... had been on all the day) way powerful compared to noob beetel. Along with Buffalo is a deadly combo and with Tomato :ohyeah:!
