I'm talking about the games, NFS MOST WANTED & NFS CARBON.

My system specs are on my signature bt still heres a look at majors :-

Intel 3.2Ghz on ASUS P5GPL, 2GB DDR (512x4 Kingston @ 400mhz), nVidia 6600GT 256.

Every other game run smoothly on my pc with High or atleast Mid Graphics details. But i have to still play NFS MOST WANTED & NFS CARBON with game graphics set to very low.

I have all latest drivers. I have problems only with these two games.

So the question still remains...... What more these games need????
 
What they need is a better GPU in my opinion. I don't know about NFS MW, but NFS carbon is a resource hog. Though its graphically intensive, the graphics do not deserve more than a 7600 GT. But the coding of this game is bad and it seems resources are not utilized properly.

My 1900 XT rips through Oblivion with 70~75 FPS at 1680 x 1050 with 6x AA and F.E.A.R with 90+ FPS with every thing maxed. Going by that one would expect to get 100+ FPS in NFS Carbon at 1280 x 1024. But I get only only around the 80 FPS mark.
 
Even NFS:MW will not run properly on a 6600GT at 1024*728 maxed out, it will have laggin problems n low frames when maxed out with a 6600GT
 
Why are people so obsessed over trash like this? I haven't played Carbon yet and am still not interested despite having opportunities to get it. Stick with underground1&2. You might want MW for the police thrown in, but that's about it.
 
then i think EA is wrong @ quoting the Min. Sys requirements for these games.......

it should simply say then,

Thank you for purchasing Need for Speed Carbon.

Poorly coded and so Unknown system specs for running this game.....pls check yourself and let us know us, coz we ourselves are pissed off!!!

To play online, pls contact your local ISP or Cable operator, if he wishes to pass THAT extra bandwidth for our dear game.

....Final words...All the best to you n your systems LUCK....May the game works at NO EXTRA COST for your dear machine (both price n performance)..
