What OS are you most comfortable with?

Chrome for its simplicity and ease of use some machines even come its sim capability and super cheap .

Also fedora is super stable if you want something that just works, much better than debian distributions imo..
First time hearing a suggestion of Fedora over Debian for stability. Did you face any major issues with Debian?

I hope games like valorant and fortnite make linux version too. Any version of linux is better than latest greatest windows.. except some features like auto hdr and RDP with touch input support.. i have used so far, mx linux, manjaro, kde neon, ubuntu, kubuntu, lubuntu, linux mint, lmde, elementaryos, zorinos, debian, pop os and bazzite. I felt manjaro is great and mx linux, really solid choice

Not really, it depends on the usage ,it's a bit like macos vs windows , workstation is perfect minimalist install for me for work and it has never lagged and broken for me and they have very stable 6 month release cycle and all softwares i need are readily available . Community is huge , super stable it's only weakness maybe was deb packages but with fkatpaks that's not an issue. Of all the Linux distributions I've tried it's never given me any headaches , it's like macos of Linux best of both worlds imo. But ofcourse if you wanna game, run your graphics cards and stuff there are better distros probably but I just use it for work.

Tbh if you are a gamer windows will always be the best option, with its xbox integration and all the integrations are mostly designed for it be it steam , gog galaxy even for lot of productivity stuff like office or even music production . But for my work which is mostly online fedora works as butter smooth. Windows will always be numero uno for gaming, on linux you will end up more time tweaking than actually playing games, but since I keep consoles for gaming linux is perfect for me :)

I am a big fan of chrome os and chromebooks though recently when I am travelling for basic online stuff mails and media consumption and basic android games , seems like very non distraction device and I generally use em with a secondry google id.

Pretty much never, both their developers Riot and Epic have shown open hostility towards Linux and specifically chose not to support Linux for any of their titles.

I do have some experience with both but I still not sure which one you are referring in your post, Fedora or Debian? I was more curious on why you would recommend Fedora over Debian when its about just stability.

I use NixOS so I am not exactly worried about tinkering but on the gaming thing, I check ProtonDB before buying a game and if something doesn't work on Linux easily then I just wouldn't bother with it. The ones that I remember struggling with was Asseto Corsa modded mp servers(sp still works ootb) and Wuthering waves which is still black magic running Windows anti cheat on spoofed VM on Linux with GPU pass-through. The one I used to play before was R6 which I just stopped playing and no game is worth playing to me if I had to deal with Windows lol. I am also privacy conscious so that's another big reason.

I am referring to Fedora , I respect Debian too and everyone's purpose is different maybe for gaming other Distors like pop and NVidia drivers are easier to integrate on it for example.

Re : why i prefer fedora , yes Debian stable is well stable also but packages get old very fast, fedora is perfect combination of leading edge ( Thats why they call it leading edge not bleeding edge as it aims to have up to date packages while maintaining great stability ) package availability with great stability and its super light in terms of ram usage and use of resources and runs butter smooth on much older systems as well which I simply cant even think of running windows on.

Ultimately, it does comes down to personal preference though obviously and ones use case when deciding a distro and you have to choose what's best for you but for me fedora ' Just Works', never had any hassle in terms of updates or anything else.

Ig I misunderstood you then. In the previous post you mentioned Fedora is super stable while replying to a post on Debian being stable so I assumed you meant Fedora is better for stability than other distros. I am only talking about stability here, nothing else like update cycle, packages and such.
