#challapradyumna if you want to get certified solely on the basis of getting placed, I suggest not to worry. Cognizant or any other ITes company will hire you as a fresher and train you before allocating you to a project. Why waste money on certification if you don't have passion/relevant background for a particular thing.

But if you are looking at long-term benefits and want to do something on the lines of what you have studied since past 4 years, I would suggest look into CAD/CAM. They are interesting (yes, had CAM as one of my subjects) and provide a real-world view of processes in the industry. There is also programming involved in these if I am not wrong.

I know a few friends who blindly took IT jobs in spite of the background and are struggling now. As far as salary is concerned, you need to take a look at last years packages and add .5L - 1L to it.

What man, this is why Ferrari is struggling in F1.

They're looking for bright new mech engineers to be the next Challa Newey.

SAP is a ERP tool, used by business to track sales, payroll etc. I think there are 2 areas you can work as a front end operator at companies and also at SAP to do coding.

Also, SAP requires a certain level of industry experience. You cannot use an ERP tool unless you know the processes involved in a business.
