Car & Bike What windshield wiper fluid to use?

Its time to refill the wiper fluid in my swift Vxi.

What to use? Shall I use plain water or water + glass cleaner combo or something commercially available.

I am using "Sonax Windscreen Wash Concentrate" diluted with distilled water.

Try using one sachet of shampoo (10ml, any brand) with clean water. RO filtered water will be better. Distilled water will be best

I generally use Shampoo which is very delicate and wouldnt affect the paint during wipe spills.



Serves best also doesnt effect the wiper blade life. Getting windshield fluid from company is really a waste of money.I remember when ever i take my vehicles to service station i always top off the coolant and windshield fluid on my own. Most dealers charge 600 Rs for both atleast here in Nagpur.

I have been using Teepol or Pril , and have had no problems, shampoo tends to get a little grimy when it dries up on the area outside the blade periphery. Please use only 2 drops in the container. All you generally need is a little lubrication on the glass, so that you don't accidentally scratch it.

There are commercially available concentrates that cost around 100 bux. I use a mild shampoo in tap water. Dont use detergents/shapoos with fruit or organic ones as they may have some insoluble components. Always mix the concentrates befor pouring to avoid choking.

I use dishwasher fluid (capful) and drinking water combi, in fact keep a 1 ltr bottle filled with this solution in the boot, just in case i run out of fluid...

People stop using dishwasher or detergent fluids. Its abrasive for the car paint.

Shampoo tough sometimes leave a stain (Never if use mild and mixed) are very soft on the car paint.
