Vij, I never knew beforehand that you were about to submit a reply and you can be rest-assured that it was not closed to target you or any particular member.

Any inconvenience caused is deeply regretted.

It had been my conscious decision to close threads in feedback section once i perceived that the problem brought up by the original poster had been solved or looked into. But from now on i can assure you that things have changed and i for one would not close any threads atleast in Feedback corner.

I hope you would continue to be integral part of TE.

About other parts of your post - Only Admins can answer that. So please await their reply.
 
uh oh...now im feeling bad...

dip, I understand that you did whats right...I was just upset at the timing of the thread closure...Actually now when I think you did whats the right thing...Im just emotional sometimes...

My point is, its people like dipdude, funky, switch, karan, adi, Nikhil, rave, darklord chaos, vandal, bikey etc etc etc(missed many I know) that make TE the best. Ofcourse how can we forget our beloved admins that brought us together.

So lets hear from them sometimes even if you dont want to...I mean after the dust settled this was the first thread on this topic...So let this happen for a while...

Actually two dozen people form the cream that makes this site better than most for nooby mortals like me...And I simply love this site for people like you more than anything else...

Dipdude is my fav mod...seriously..oops...I started another debate .

WOW.. I missed a lot here.. When was the thread re-opened ?????

Anyway, I'm sure things will get back to normal soon.

I personally believed that the General Section (read Chatterbits) in the former TE made the site more friendly. I for one enjoyed a little time off there. Made the forum more approachable.

Granted the Jokes were a li'l outta place for a tech forum, as was the gallery (girls in bikinis.. hmm... nice...), so its good that those are outta here.

Dipdude, dude, it takes some balls to accept ones errors so gracefully. I respect you.

You guys rock.. and I hope the hiccups subside..

Other than movie reviews & threads from jokes section - please feel free to PM me or list here the threads you want to see in 'General Talk' - i would port them back asap.

And kindly restrict the list to either starred threads like what Czar mentioned or your favorite one's or a thread which you created and you think it needs to be there in GT.

I have already moved a few threads. So have a look in GT first.

why is it that no general TALK topics are shown in new posts ??

Dont tell me this is new thing......

Earlier you had that option that people could choose which sections they wanted to see in SEARCH NEW POSTS. Bring that back please..... I want to see General talk in new posts...
