Hi Mods ,

I am Noticing a constent decline in my Post count instead of any Increase ! Earlier it was something close to 1840 , then it went down to 1780 and now it has declined to 1692 , so may I Please ask what the Hell is exactly Happening ? And This too without any Notification ? :@

Its not happening to you only.

Seen it happen to almost all people.

Even mine has come down by 30-40 odd posts.

I think it has something to do with the General Talk. Maybe posts in the threads that were moved to FE or trashed are now deducted.

Wait for admins to reply.
 
i dont know the difference....as i dont care abt the post count...;)
but it must be related to threads being removed/trashed as funky said..
 
this thread needs to be trashed. Bluff, you could have simply pm-ed the mods instead of making a public thread about it.
 
ohh..... is even my post count reducing :P ???

Mods, you could donate abt 2-3K of my posts to Bluff if it makes hiom happy....

Anyway, actually now that I see it, I think my post count has reduced.... I guess that is because they have deleted a few Chatterbits threads.....

If they continue this, my post count will soon be down to 2K :rofl: :rofl:

I dont mind though :D :D

Wait a sec bluffy, your post count reduced further to 1689 now :P Good thing I never look at post count so I don't know if it's reducing or not, but I'm keeping a tab on Nikhil's post count - it's bound to go down a couple 1000's at least :rofl:
 
arrey.....what is so funny ??

I will be very happy if my post count goes down even to 1 or 2 K..... it will spare me the newbies to this forum talking abt my post count at every opportunity they get.....

In fact, I would be happy if the admins artificially reset my post count to 3K......

I merely found it pointless to make a whole thread about it, when the same could have just been pm-ed.

Now, I am guilty of spamming :P

But what is there to enjoy abt post count ?? The admins dont even give me special privileges :P :rofl:

And I dont really care what they talk but it does get a bit irritating beyond a point.....

Remember that thread where some members were banned for various stuff like flaming, excessive spamming or whatever...... My name kept getting dragged into that just because I have the highest post count.

And now, I am feeling really guilty abt this thread :P :bleh: Hope Post count is disabled in this section :P

Hey Nikhil I remember a thread where u confessed that you make irrevelant and false posts to increase your posts counts...when Udit asked you smthing...:bleh:

Yep the phenomenon is for real and most of us if not all are affected by it - i am personally short by about 800+ posts.

The answer lies within 'Disabled/Removed Sections' of TE and 'Deleted Posts/Threads'. Your post count is supposed to reflect the no of posts in the sections which are 'Visible/Enabled' and should be taken into account to calculate your post counts.

This cannot be avoided, and is reflected upon post counts of all the users on TE.

Hope this clarifies your doubt - if not, i would ask the Admins to reply to your query in detail.

this is a phase by phase method the evil admins are using to disable post counts on te .. they hope if they do it little by little you wont notice till one day its gone totally :ill:

Just to add to Dip, there was nothing to notify as nothing was ever deleted. You can access all threads even now from google or via thread links.

the post issue seems to be coming from some other cause most probably a vbulletin issue. I am looking into it.
