Whats the best Sci-fi movie of all times in your opinion ?

I just read a status msg off one of my friend's IM.
"District 9 Best Sci-fi movie..."

Although I must agree that it gains points on Creativity and Action, but surely I have come across better.

My List (in no specific order)

Star TreK (New)
Terminator 2
Star Wars
The Planet of the Apes
Back to the future Trilogy
 
The man from earth is a worthy mention, ofcourse the star trek and star wars franchisee is in contention too. But the winner is without doubt blade runner.
 
The Matrix (first part) and The man from earth

Both the movies made me think about the plot time/age instead of using showing them on screen with heavy visual effects eg Star trek and Wars, 5th element; etc.

Esp THE MAN FROM EARTH plays with your mind an imagination

I'd also like to mention Stargate. The movie itself wasn't great but the universe was incredible!

i was the one who pestered you to watch this right?

i'd say the man from earth is the best sci fi in a long time (at least this decade), but not the best of all time.
